What is a property appraisal?

A property appraisal allows you to evaluate the current market value of your property so that you can think clearly about your next steps.

When might I need an appraisal?

At Fall we recommend having an appraisal conducted by a Fall real estate Agent. Not only does this allow you to keep track of the market but also allows you to form a relationship with your chosen property agent. 

What do I need an appraisal for?

A property appraisal is not just needed when thinking about selling. Other reasons for an appraisal may include;

   •  To be well informed before approaching your broker or bank for refinancing

   •  To understand what area of the property should a renovation budget be allocated

   •  To check if your insurance is covering the current value of the home

Remember that changes in the state of the economy and the property market may affect the value of your home. Ask your real estate agent how the sale of your home may be affected by:

• Fluctuations in interest rates;
• Property availability;
• Buyer demand; and
• Market opinions and valuations.
